Topher
Occupation: (Temporarily) manager of “Geekdom and More”

Geek Interests: Comic Books, Sci-Fi, Film, TV & pop culture History, Comic Books (small press & super hero), Sci-fi, Comic Strips & Movies

Topher started work at “Geekdom and More” while in college and by the time he earned his B.A in Illustration and graphic design he had become the stores Manager. For now it’s a good temporary job while he figures out how to start a career. As most of the troupe comes into the store to buy products of their various interests he remains the connection between them. This is helped by the fact that his interests are more generalized than the individual tastes of the rest of the troupe.

Topher enjoys his job but really wants to get his career going, the only problem is that the one thing that he wasn’t taught in school was how to get one started. In the mean time he’s enjoying the job where he get’s paid to sell geek products to those that like it and to hang out with his friends when they come around to buy stuff or simply hang out.
Brian
Occupation: Store clerk from next door to Geekdom and More.

Geek Interests: Comic Books in what every kind they come in, and whatever other media comic book characters show up in

Brian and Topher have been close friends since 3rd grade when a group of kids started talking about the Fantastic Four and they were the only two that knew about Galactus. Brian graduated from college at the same time as Topher and now works next door to Geekdom and More.
For Brian comics have the same place in his life as others place religion or women. They are his philosophy, his theology, and the ultimate form of literature and as such the only thing better than working in a comic book store is working next to one. Brian may not be nearly as socially inept as Randy, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been left with paranoia and complexes that keep him in his in own world. As he tends to walk to his own beat and for that reason he gets along with Tim quite well. While neither live in each other’s reality, they find common ground in that they don’t live in ours.
Like Topher he’s searching for what’s next after college. The problem is that Brian can be best described as a “pseudo-writer” as scared of success as he is of failure. Working as a clerk in a store is a safe zone for his psyche.
Baxter
Occupation: Graphic designer working at “Super Cute Teddy Bear Inc”

Geek Interests: Comic Book (usually dark or British writers), film and women

Baxter’s a Jekyll / Hyde case of a closet geek that hasn’t been yet able to reconcile his “cool” and “geek” parts of himself resulting in a rather high level of angst in his personality. He is a geek deep down, but thinks that will negate his relaxed cool persona if anyone other than his friends from the comic book store found out his interests. The problem is that below everything else he is a Geek and that, try as he might, can’t be completely hidden.
Besides Topher, Baxter is the only one that has a job with any real responsibility and as such sometimes he is frustrated with some of the groups lack of focus on anything but their geek interests.
Randy Bates
Occupation: Part time student and full time employee at Good Buy

Geek Interests: Comic Book (Super Hero specifically) & all media that relates to Comic Books

Randy is the kind of geek that makes other geeks cringe. Randy’s lack of a father figure, indulgent & tottering mother, and lack of training in social protocol shaped a self indulgent socially inept product that is too wrapped up in himself to be aware of out of step he is when the rest of the world, even the usually very tolerant geek world.

Randy usually ends up either showing up at the same events as the rest or invites himself. When he invites himself the politeness of the group and the sheer amount of money Randy spends at “Geekdom and More” is what keeps the troupe from telling him no.
Tim
Occupation: Depends on the month

Geek Interests: Film, Comic Book (Indy and Small Press) and Philosophy

Tim is Topher’s brother and the two couldn’t be more different. If you looked up “relaxed” in the dictionary, there’d be a picture of Tim. Nothing really get’s to him including school, jobs or how often he’s been late for anything he was supposed to be at. This is tempered by a charm, neigh hypnotism, and smile that smoothes out much of the issues that the previous personality traits create. The effect is even more potent on females of any age. Topher & Baxter seem to be the only one’s immune to this effect.
Christy
Occupation: college student attending local university

Geek Interests: cosplay, sci-fi, Star Wars and the comics that relate to those

The only thing worse than wishing that attractive women existed in geekdom is to actually know one and know she’s not into you. Christy is one that will turn any head she walks by. She is though a geek first and foremost, and has been since she was a youngling. When she first started buying comics at “Geekdom and More Comics, Collectables & Gadgets” she had to be driven there by her parents as she wasn’t old enough to have a learners permit. Since then her interest in comic books, Star Wars, and general sci-fi has blossomed along with the rest of her.
Christy’s genuinely nice, possibly because she doesn’t completely realize her effect on the opposite gender. She knows Topher the most out of the group, because he’s the manager of the store. Think of that Girl next door that’s also a model as well as all geek all wrapped up in one.
